If anyone's been subscribes to Netflix, you might have caught Eli Roth's new show titled Hemlock Grove. While watching the last few minutes on the second episode I noticed Smithstonian's Mississippi Mud playing in the background. I don't believe the track was ever comped or reissued? This left me thinking, how did this track make it on to the show and who got to make that call?

  • Tuff City would say that he owns that song. he compiled it on funky funky soul folks. my educated guess is tuff citys agent called up and asked for music for that show, tuff city sent them mississippi mud, the agent passed it on to the music supervisor on the show, who liked the song for that scene and they did a deal.

I couldn't make it past the second episode of that show.

I was going to mention in my post that after thoroughly enjoying House Of Cards, this show has been quite the letdown so far...Not that I remember Eli Roth making anything particularly noteworthy in the past.
