I was going through several boxes of old hip-hop magazines today and found my copy of the VILLAGE VOICE "Hip Hop Nation" Jan.88 edition.

Some of the pages are starting to turn a little yellow and i have 3 staples on the side to keep it together but man, what memories this issue brings back.

Especially the rap radio section in this..

Also, basically all of my old rap mags are near mint conditon,including..

The SOURCE from the 2nd issue and every issue after that until summer 2000 or so.
Ton's of RAP SHEET (with the SOULMAN articles)
RAP PAGES (ton's,including the rare DJ and dance special editions)
Lot's of STRESS issues
Lot's of EGO TRIP issues
Lot's of ELEMENTAL issues

A few HIP HOP CONNECTION issues..

Every copy of GRAND SLAM and BIG DADDY mags..

And the first 12 copies of WAX POETCIS and several here and there after that (still need the J DILLA issue)

I have all the issues with the SOULMAN articles.

I even contributed to one of his columns.

Really wasn't a big beat digger when those articles were out.

I started getting into it around early 96.

Even gave SOULMAN and Kon & Amir a couple records.
