gots mines yesterday and bodied it within 24hrs. this is NOT a book for those who like to lick their fingers to turn the page. you'll want to pour globs of anti-bac onto your cerebellum.

Put in an order for a book (present for friend without a trntbl and a box for myself.
Got the book in the mail yesterday and today was a trip here for my kid's passport.
Thought this was semi-appropriate:
OMFG. Priceless.
My copy just showed up, It has been mighty weird seeing pics of the book out in the wild when I had not yet seen one but DAMN, Thes, Erik and Wiel's work on the design and layout of this puppy paid off, I am tripping right now.

I read my copy in the hospital waiting room yesterday afternoon waiting to see if I broke my ankle (I didn't, thank goodness). There I am surrounded by the bleeding and sick while laughing hysterically from reading a book with a mop on the cover. There were many strange looks.

Very good. Enjoyed it.
Forget the Cloudstreet, this is The Great Australian Novel.
But I wonder.
I want my wife to read it because I like her to enjoy what I enjoy, but I think she will just be grossed out. Not really into scatological humor.
I want to send it to my brother, who used to own a porn theater.
But I am wondering how much non-strutters would enjoy it.
He doesn't know that Jungle Groove means James Brown or any of the other record collecting references.
He wouldn't get the Stinky Dave and Leo Sayer jokes.
I was telling a friend of mine who is a screenwriter about The Mop and he totally wants to read it.
He thinks the setting is an interesting one for a story plus I told him there are many hilarious characters and vignettes.
