Do u think this was done just for the album design or did someone create the entire alphabet with the bulletholes for later/public use?

It's something like cloister black http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/tilde/cloister-black/regular/

If you can find a better picture of it, you can run it through the font search app on that website.

I've been looking for these exact fonts some years ago and found them but I can't remember the names. I've to go through my fonts in the backup and see if I can find them.

hey, i was doing a big research on those fonts a few seasons ago when i was working for adidas originals, unfortunately most of the fonts where custom types or fonts that were copied from old font books, i doubt that they were ever released as ttf??s. attached you??ll find a few examples of similar types, maybe that helps, feel free to pm me if you need further support.

I would call that one "Le Tigre". Or "Shuriken" maybe. That would be a pretty sweet name for a font.

  • Those are just Gothic iron-on letters. You can get similar iron-on letters today, but the letters are a bit more elaborate. The ones in the pics are pretty stripped-down, without all of the thin lines, hackles, and ornaments that give Gothic letters much of their character.

    Here's one site selling some:

  • Our DJ community here in town suffered a great loss yesterday morning. I have a really good graphic designer friend (http://hobostewd.com/blog/) that drew this up for me:
