    Indeed. It wasn't so long ago that he was widely perceived to have something of a snotty attitude concerning hip-hop, samples, and all the attendant carry-on. Assuming that perception was accurate to begin with (and it mightn't have been), I guess that over time he's seen the make-up and maybe even the size of his audience change, and realised that hip-hop has had a lot to do with that.

    Fot those who havent seen it yet. A Bob James interview I did two years ago. He is talking about his recordings , the bellless version of Mardi Gras, why he owns his masterrecordings and he is challenging Biz Markie to show hin the Madi Gras without the bells.

    i think someone should reissue the briefcase with the alpha omega mardi gras pressing and or a boot with the bells removed
