  • god what a car crash. i hope something gets sale-d soon this is getting painful

just a thought, but if doug and jean want their masters back, why not just do the morally correct thing and give them their masters. for free. none of this "sale-ing" things.

You should invest in a dictionary and grammar lessons with all your earnings

Oh by the way Dj Prestige I got you covered on the paypal
account. Let's get paid, im a man of my word.

I did politely decline your offer of a commission earlier, and if you didn't see, my email was sarcastic. Like I said, i'm a writer not a record label broker. If my article brought attention to your situation, then I hope the masters will only fall into the hands of someone who will preserve the history of Black Jazz Records, not make a quick buck. I will leave it to you to be the wheeler dealer Mr. Hardge. Best of Luck-

Thanks for all the love and attention that you are giving
the Black Jazz Catalog that is for sale. Yesterday i made
$8,500 that's not bad at all.

If you think about it, you guys have been talking back in
forth since July we are in September. Had I known I would
have gotten in the mix a month ago.

Im advertising on six more sites like this one also. Thanks alot,
there are people who don't even know that I reduced the
price, and the masters are indivdulay for sale until I got
on Soul Strutt. $8,500 each Thank you all.

what I told you last night these people are about drama
    Im about advertising. Peace

Im living proof that within drama an controversy you can get
paid. In 3 hours this will be deleted and replace with
my annual "BLACK JAZZ TAKE OVER". I had no idea you
can ad pictures to your comments unitl now. So this time
    the advertisement will be colorful.

I will check with you all around 3 pm pacific.

    FOR ROUND 3.

The words "acid jazz" and "nu-jazz" make me feel bad for the author.

Nice turnaround of events, if true. Still, there is this James H, restaurant owner. Would be nice to know how this all fits in.

    Legit?

At the very least, this Black Jazz owner has a much firmer grasp of grammar than mr. restauranteur.

    Nu-chazz? Aceed?

    Yikes

I've met James Hardge. Bought records out his storage unit in Oakland (or was it Berkeley?) about 10 years ago.

ha! i worked with Enoch aka Aaaron at Vintage Vinyl here in St.Louis about 12 years ago. We DJed together last year. Knew he was making original music but had no idea Black Jazz was putting it out.I gotta ask him about this character next time i run into him.

What I found surprising about this thread and all the sites mentioned is the amount of vitriol towards the Black Jazz catalogue. I don't quite get it as I loved pretty much every LP I had on Black Jazz (Henry Franklin, a few Doug Carns, etc ) and the compilation LPs showed quite some depth....

Btw. I seem to recall the latter day owner of Black Jazz putting together a live BlackJazz night about a decade ago with some of the old stars... I seem to recall the experience wasn't so great as he felt that many of the musicians had considerable chips on their shoulders and were a lot of hard work...
