DJ Headphones recommendation?

Ok, before y'all go saying Sony and pioneer etc. I will let you know that I have owned both of them and they are both great. I think the sony's actually sound the best. My friend uses the new technics and they are solid too but weigh like 5lbs.!!!! My problem with headphones is that no matter what brand or how solid or how much I pay they ALL end up broken. I'm very gentle with them and I do take care of them and I never ever wrap the cord as I know it causes shorts. I chalk this up to normal wear and tear, as I figure I use them every single day and for them to last me at least a year, I'm getting my $160 bucks use out of them. I'm gonna go with this old school style joint right here and see how it works out. Do any of you steady working djs that play out damn near every single night if not more have any solid suggestions? Maybe I should just charge it to the game like silk the shocker and just have multiple pairs on deck!

$2999.99?
I'll pass..............
I used to fuck with Sony in a big way but they always busted on me after a while anyway. I also used the Pioneer which I like a lot better than Sony but it also had problems.
I fucked with Sennheiser and some of the models are pretty dope. They also come with completely replaceable parts so if a pad falls off or if the cord burns you can replace the part and not the whole thing.
I have a pair of Sennheisers that I use as back-up, just like Matthew said:
... but some things about the ergonomics of them don't make them my first choice.
These are the ones I use:
Technics DJ 1210 headphones.
They're solidly built and don't cost that much. I started using these after Cash Money gave me the recommendation on them years ago. I have a belief that "working DJs" should expect to replace their headphones once a year. I've had these for almost 3 so that makes them ahead of the curve and "good" in my book.
Also, I used to fuck with "The Wand" and I would probably do so again, it's just that the only jawns I ever see are the ones that Vestax makes and I don't fuck with that brand. I know Dancetrax in NY used to make their custom jawns, but I don't know if they still do. However "The Wand" = big dog status and a real good look.
Sidebar: I just saw my man Max Djing for Rihannon on that TV show "Las Vegas." That's decent.
For three grand, you'd think they'd offer more than a two-year warranty, like at the very least, a grand a year.
you are ear delicious....
but i'll still pass

I don't know how well they would hold up in the club. But they're nice for at home usage and mixtape making. Affordable too.
Mine are the SR125 and they cost me $180 Canadian.
don't buy Stanton's ...uggggg.. kept breaking.
did you ever get these, Dee?
if so, what do you think?
