Barbara Acklin "Love Makes a Woman" classic......and some of her other lps are great too. Definitely worth putting up among the best.

Linda Lewis......but maybe she's too folky, but she made some nice albums too for reprise.

Minnie Riperton's "Perfect Angel" should be up too with "adventures in paradise" that's already been mentioned.

In contrast to the Marcia LP which is an album concept, the Phyllis Dillon is a compilation of tracks/45's she made a decade earlier at Treasure Isle. Amazing body of work, nonetheless, but if we're getting into female soul 45's this thing could blow up.
