To me, there's nothing like my home turf. There might be better home turfs out there, but just knowing the spots, knowing the connects, knowing the little idiosyncrasies, etc. pays off way bigger for me than when I've gone to some fancier locale that I know relatively little about.

Yeah, I cosign the above statement...
But from what I heard, B-more generally have a gang of ill records, so that helps.

I have found the best records at a school swap meet a few blocks away from my house. Second to that is Amoeba to me.

uhhh, nope, no records out here

  • I live in LA for three reasons:

The scene -- the lunatics, the cheese, the glamour, the chicks.
The industry -- it's my business.
The records -- most records COME FROM LA.

First time there, I was definitely amazed, roaming around Shibuya and Shimokitazawa. You know it's serious when they got "record shop maps". I'm definitely curious about the other spots in Japan too.

You're finding wax in NJ? Maybe I need to stop looking in Atlantic County because I don't find shit there.

I guess anywhere besides[/b] south jersey can yield decent records in the garden state.
