Seriously, this hasn't left my playout crate since I got it months ago, and I usually play 2-4 songs off it every gig. Funk, latin soul, stoner grooves, disco, brakes, shoot yourself in the head ballads, this record has it ALL.
PS. Just found Joe Bataan 2 on Salsoul last night for $5. I played both albums at the club last night. Yo it's Joe's world, we just Ling Ching Tong Rap O Clap O in it.

one night a while back spinning at the regular cut, i played a couple tracks from his "salsoul" album and one of DC's famous Salsa vocalists and cungalero's was hanging there and he came up to me and thanked me like 20 times for playing those tracks, not to mention seeing the huge grin on his face that was 10 feet tall.
Bataan's defintely got the sauce.
but havnt heard the version you're speaking of.....hint...hint.
