I'm saying. Anyone try this? Worth a shot, record's busted otherwise. Also maybe I'll catch a buzz off the fumes...

    serious.

    get at me dude.

  • I've got a similair situation, but with Spray Glue residue (3M "77").
I accidentally got that shit all over one of my records.
[fall out from being up against a wall I was sticking studio foam tiles too. Nope, wasn't in it's jacket.]

Nonetheless, I tried cleaning it with water & record cleaner solution but the record still plays with *lots* of crackle & pop, pretty much unplayable, which sucks as it' was gift from a family member from a long time ago.

Think the Lighter Fluid trick may fix it?

I was actually about to try the paint thinner thing, but am hesitant that shit may really fuck it up more.

    peace.

Lighter fluid did help somewhat, but has not solved the problem. Paint thinner is the only solution.

Co-sign. Lighter fluid is the shit when Value Village scrawls prices in crayon all over LP covers and vintage sneaks.
