Bachelor parties/Strippers

The issue of american culture vs european dito has come up before, I know. But I was watching "Tru Calling" (I believe it's called) the other night and it was about a guy killing his friends at his bachelor party. Of course there was a stripper there. Is this a TV show clich?? or is it actually common practise to have a stripper at your bachelor party in the US of A? I've never heard about it in Sweden and we're supposed to be sinful and loose.

....why don't you send some stripper to the white house.???

George Bush could party a bit instead of thinking abt exporting democracy all over the world....

Always been strippers at any bachelor party I have attended. VERY COMMON here in the sinful U.S. of A. I would think that in Europe ya'll would have straight hookers at your parties.

I think in America, there is an assumption that any strippers at a Bachelor Party ARE hookers, at least as a side gig.

For my informal bachelor party, we opted to go to a 'Gentleman's' club(in Baltimore, natch, cuz DC SUCKS for strip clubs)-cheaper and they are NOT hookers at the decent spots. That way there's no embarrassing misunderstandings.

    Decent spots = "Escorts"

    No embarassing misunderstandings!
