Snare on the Humpty Dance...

OK, I really want to know what that electronic snare drum sound is on Humpty Dance. I dont think it come from an 808. I've been wondering for a while, because I hear it other places too and I like it. I dont think its a 909 either, although I could be wrong. I wish I had audio, but everybody knows what the song sounds like anyways.Anybody know what I'm talking about?

    That "thwack" sound, right?

    I don't know machine it comes from either. It kinda sounds like it was sampled from a Parliament or Zapp record.

    My guess is the almighty LINN drum.
    I know Roger Troutman used it.
    I have some LINN drum samples on my PC,
    just listened to them, and it sounds right,
    but I don't have the DU song here to compare....
