    I have a 12" by west coast crew called Poetry 'n Motion from 86 (?) taht used Zapp. I think it's called 'More Bounce (to the 40oz)' using the obvious track.. I think they just cut it in time to the 808 beat. I bought it before EPMD came out on Fresh. Have it here with pic cover somewhere...

    Probably Chicago house dudes sampled both these tracks before hip hop did.

    Lee PErry used loops as early as '69, but I'm sure John Cage and those dudes were doing stuff before that.
