From what I know the first Planet Rock release was 1982? They put out a remix the year before? Whats the deal here?

If i remember correctly PLANET ROCK was first and then that remix came out and i heard it on 92 WKTU a year or two later.Thats a good catch i did not know they pressed that mix on wax.I thought that was a remix that D.J.
