No, not me personally, but I know someone who is going through some family related, self-hatred, post-adolescent/young adult angst type stuff and nothing that can be said by friends or whoever really helps. Maybe some of you more experienced, enlightened folks could recommend something musical that could really hit home and help that person cope. And I'm trying to steer them clear of that Papa Roach, etc. crap.

    Hey,

Here is some generally good upbeat and/or inspirational music to cheer him/her up:

-"Don't Wanna See You Cry"-Clifford Coulter.
-"Don't Let No One Get You Down"-War.
    -"We're a Winner"-The Impressions.
    -"God is Love"-Marvin Gaye.
-"Be Grateful"-Walter Hawkins and the Love Alive Choir (Tramaine Hawkins greatness!!!).
-"Did You Stop to Pray this Morning?"-The Little Wonders.
-"Mighty High"-The Mighty Clouds of Joy.
-"Peace in the Valley"-The Gospelaires of Dayton Ohio (I obviously find Gospel music uplifting, can't you tell?).
    -"Smile, Please"-Stevie Wonder.
-"Keep Your Head to the Sky" and "See the Light"-Earth, Wind, & Fire.
-"No Weapon"-Fred Hammond & the Radicals for Christ (a great song of faith in times of challenge).
-"Rollin' with the Punches"-William D. Smith (Allen Toussaint produced goodness).
-"Don't it Make you Feel Good"-Leroy Hutson.
-"All Night Thang"-The Invisible Man's Band (dance and feel good).
-"He'll Make it Right"-The Gospel Keynotes.
-"My Life is Good Because of You"-BeBe Winans.
    -"Movin' On"-Brass Construction (Huuuh!).
    -"Happy Feelin'"-Maze ft/ Frankie Beverly.
    -"Reachin' for the Sky"-Peabo Bryson.
-"The Best is Yet to Come"-Frank Sinatra.

That's all for now. Maybe I'll come up with more tomorrow.

    Peace,

    Big Stacks from Kakalak

    Gangstarr - Moment of Truth

a more mature Guru sending the message of his regrets and bad times getting better. I thought of my sister who was getting into some trouble with school and the law, and really just wasn't happy, I gave her a copy of this. I've always loved the message sent through many of the songs on this album, still one of my favorites.

Primo's beats don't hurt the album either
