side note... slick watts was my 4th grade PE teacher at dunlap elementary. his son, donald was the sickest high school baller i ever saw, next to nate robinson.
Slick Watts and Downtown Freddie Brown. When I was about 7 they came on the same plane as my grandparents from Seattle into Oakland. I hung out with them for about 30 minutes as they waited for their luggage. Back then, athletes use to get on the regular planes with everyone else. We talked about how I liked the Indians better than the Cowboys, soldiers, and everything but basketball. They were really nice.
Jamal Wilkes! Rookie of the Year with the Warriors then went on to more glory with the Lakers.
Kareem, Magic, and Michael Cooper, other old school favs.
Moses Malone, Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson (even though I hated the Pistons with a passion when they won their championships), etc.

Remember when they shot the dude, Jackson. Fucked up.
Also, kids called me Salami at school. Crazy, I didn't even play ball.
