Renee Geyer left Australia in the early 80s becasue she was sick to the teeth that soul/R&B/funk was non-existent or even respected here. Did backing vocals for Trouble Funk & loads of others. As she said in an inteview they basically wanted her to 'wail' wordless vocals in a manly kinda gruff way.

That record is like a $1AUS record... Not saying it's bad though.

Yeah sure, 'ready to deal' ain't gonna be the most ellusive record for people in Australia to find, but you still see it in shops here for the $20-30 price range, and it's often overseas cats paying that. And I agree, i think it's pretty nice.
