How do you clean a paper record???

I've got a paper record that comes with a certain doll. It's dope, but in rough shape, sound wise. One side is paper and the other is laminated, which I'd imagine is the only thing providing the grooves. I want to clean the laminated side, and I would guess that the moisture from cleaning wouldn't necessarily cause the plastic to pull away from the paper, but I'm still a little hesitant.Does anyone have experience in this matter?

  • For real though i have no idea

  • I love this question. I wouldn't know the answer. I would say just clean the laminated side with the grooves and stay away from the edges a bit?

Just a tip: when playing a flexi, put a normal record underneath.

Paper records: same, and put coins on the corners.

    I was going to say:

Michale Nesmisth's (of the Monkees) mom invented it.

For real, just wipe a slightly damp cloth in the direction of grooves, and remember the image is far more important than the sound.
