has anyone volunteered these past few days? i would really like to... and i'm feeling too down right now to even try to enjoy my weekend. i'm goign to a red cross orientation tomorrow morning, but when i spoke to the woman at the office, she didn't have any details to give. i would like to ensure the time i spend is meaningful and helpful. so, if any of you have pried yourselves away from the great things we are doing here to put in "real world" effort, please share your experience and/or give recomendations on how AND WHERE i can volunteer my time. thanks

    Unless you live close to NO or have training/resources they can use there is only so much you can do.

    It's hard in a case like this, but sometimes you just have to stand back and let the pro's do the work.

    I would recomend giving blood. Buying heatrock. Contact local fire/rescue and see if there are any supplies you can donate to the people they are sending to NO.
