The expression "I have to take a shit" is problematic.
You aren't "taking anything" (I hope). If anything, when you are about to expel fecal matter, you are "giving" a shit, which then makes the expression "I don't give a shit" problematic...unless you're severely constipated.
More accurately, when you're "cutting mud", you are making a shit, or perhaps removing a shit.
Anyway, add on with your own juvenile (or not) musings.
