Was listening to DJ Format's Fabric set when this song came on and my son FREAKED THE FUCK OUT. Talmbout deep DEEP into that. So, please to recommend instro funky jazz with a similar sound or some downtpemos that are in teh same eastetic. THANKS YOU IN ADVANCE.

    that Nostalgia 77 sounds like Nomo and some of those other Afrobeat-revival-whatever-you-call-it bands.

    Bixiga 70 does the same kind of sound. A friend of mine refers to it as "music for people who work in advertising."

    I second Placebo (Marc Moulin). The compilation on counterpoint is dope.

    Here's a similar style. One or two-tracker at best, but one hell of a track.


    Maybe straying a little away from "funky jazz" but...headnodder for sure. Entire album is dope.

    I think it's out of print.
