Seems like the remix got way more play in Los Angeles but I've always preferred the og(dead serious) version.

Peace, stein...

Og, the remix didn't get as much play down here in the South.

    OG

    Remix Instrumental > OG instrumental

  • The first version I heard was the remix on Westwood..always preferred it.
The LP version is the one that is most played in my experience though..

OG. The remix is too uptight with the fonk.

I remember they played the orig. a massive amt, then later played the remix a massive amt (exclusively). For the remix I was initially like BOOOOOOOO, but then came around to become full Borat after a month or so. I think I prefer the remix to the orig. now.

Edit: Oh wait, I think you mean, "very nice!"

  • The James brown one. Cause it's such a friendly mix w the JB song.

This would be "Full Michael Henderson" or alternately "Full Slingshot"

Yes, local radio rocked it when they burnt out the album version. It gave the single legs for a minute.

  • Original for me, no question, but yeah I think the remix got all the radio play, at least in CA. A couple years back I finally listened to the JB original and damn if it's not now one of my all time James Brown tracks.

I used to like both when they came out but after just listening to them one after the other for the first time in years I found the remix to be mildly annoying.

OG got most of the play, but I kinda liked the remix more.
