hah yup! Excellent sound design (not something you get in sports movies) and music selection coupled with stunning water photog and a few glimpses into the fragile/vulnerable state of men in water push this movie beyond the average surf flick.

Thanks, I'll make sure to rewatch it in full when I have more time.
Yo Harvey - check this out (SPOILER ALERT KALA - THERE IS NO STAND UP PADLING):
It is almost impossible for me to watch a whole surf film without me getting all antsy to surf as soon as possible. This one looks super dope, thanks for sharing.
Here is another Space jawn...it's a film that syncs the audio transmissions of the first human orbit in space (Uri Gragarin, don't sleep) with HD footage shot by the international space station as it loosely follows the same orbital path that Uri did during said first orbit. It's really trippy to put yourself in his position...think about being the first mother fucker to go into space. Even though he is an incredibly disciplined Russian cosmonaut, at certain points he can't help but sound really excited about what he is seeing. It's a fun one to zone out to when you're on that wizard, that spice, that green, that homegrown, that AZ, dat diff, dat fire, dat shoulder shrug....
