Like, let's keep sending people AWAY from this site if they don't post about the latest Marvel superhero movie, or fugly Nikes. There's way too much activity on this board and we need to regulate newer posters via Thriller/OTW-type quizzes to ensure they fit with 2003 SS.
just so we're all on the same page, True Bone (tm) is really about banality, not just sheer slapstick comedy. the more ridiculously banal the title/cover/artist name, the better the bone. also, should be private issue for the most part so major label LPs are out, most indie releases are out, and despite the initial comedy of ugly women with beehives or an album by a dude called "he touched me", most white gospel is not really bone. it's just bad.

Can you speak on the etymology of "bone" or "bonerz"?
I've known the term for a while, and more or less what it meant, but not the origin.
I believe it was Dante Carfagna and possibly one or more other Chicago Record Mafia, this was absolutely the kind of shit that would add a bit of comic relief to a day of searching for vinyl, and finding increasingly diminishing returns... as far as the usage, it started out with a record being "boned out". all the other shit came after it was already a "thing" on waxidermy, where "boner" was coined. Before that it was just "bone" or "boned out".
That's the issue, isn't it - it's such part and parcel of Waxidermy that it seems inappropriate to lay down that type of wood on Soulstrut. Just like I am sure if someone was posting pictures of a wall of Air Ones over on the Sanitary Mufftars forum, they might be sent over here. I respect Batmon for his efforts to keep things in line. If that leaves Soulstrut to a fate of looking at pics of World Cup girls posted by Duderomony, I can still sleep at night. Choose your own boner - that's what the internet is all about.
