Stumbled across this mini documentary, via Big Chan. Reminded me of the 'Standing In The Shadows Of Motown' documentary in a modern way.

"What do the likes of Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, MF DOOM and Tyler, The Creator have in common? Enter the world of Alain Mion, a French musician part of a 1970s jazz collective called Cortex whose music has been heavily sampled and influential in crafting the ???sound??? for some of hip-hop???s biggest acts. Shedding light on his feelings on sampling as well as the financial aspect of the not-so-dirty-little secret in the musical genre, the film from Gasface is certainly enlightening and well-put together."
