Raj sorry to hear they didn't include you. Is the book worthwhile despite that? Give us a little review because they're asking for a lot. I don't want to put out that much cash without knowing something about it.

Read all the interviews on the web site and then decide if you really need that in book for for $75.

It would make a nice coffee table book for the casual person who buy's into the whole "Oh, I hear vinyl records are back." Which is the market they are going for and gives them the best chance to move copies, BUT, from a pure record porn perspective, it misses. Do I really need to see copies of Soul Flutes and the extremely deep Chairman Mao flossing a copy of Ramones S/T, no. There is even a dude holding up a Mayer Hawthorne record!?? Save the cash.

Ha, I didn't get into the book either. I think there were a lot of people that didn't make the cut. Apparently the photo editor was a hard ass about who was in and out. Would have been nice to get at least one photo in there though.

brian i dont remember seeing your interview. can you share a link to it?

he hasn't put it up yet, and i'm pretty little dude compared to the others that are in the queue (B+, Chemist, etc). but he said we'd get to do it once things settle down a bit. it sounds like he's pretty swamped with release parties set for London and Amsterdam.

Motown, if you like looking at pictures of records then you'll dig this book. it's not everyone's cup of tea, but being an artist/visual person i do enjoy it quite a bit. i agree that the price is a little steep, but the production value is pretty high. nice paper, glossy for the first half and matte for the interviews. there's even some foldout pages. i know Eilon really wanted to do things right and i think for the most part he hit the mark.
