any recommendations?
kinda hate going to guitar center and rather give money to an independent shop. looking to buy my first, don't really need friendly staff just decent selection

  • acoustic, spanish or electric? what is your price range? can you deal with second hand?

    Main Drag in Williamsburg probably has the biggest selection, but I would make the rounds and see what you find.

    The East Village/LES has the biggest concentration of stores.

    30th st guitars- see matt brewster -incredible selection/service,highly reccomended

    rick kelly on carmine st-insane amazing custom builds from 1800's wood beams sourced from nyc salvage

    There's a Guitar Shoppe out here on Northern Blvd Queens.
    Never been inside, but i'd bet there will be a slightly different selection compared to Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
