I think I bought one of their Am Rep 45s, if I remember correctly for what it was they were too melodic for me or something. That whole label bored me relatively quickly along with all of that 2nd wave of "Noise Rock", Helmet etc -the Cows were fun though... that was around the time when I stopped visiting record stores and began taking my money to the fleamarkets instead.

  • my omission of Casual's "fear itself" is EGREGIOUS.

this thread is almost more about regret and doubt than celebration for me.

    Observations on the various 50s....

    Lack of Beatles
A consensus on LZ houses of the holy
    Diversification on the Costello canon

I had Beatles in my 50.
Considered LZ, which maybe should've taken the spot occupied by Pantera.
Whatevs. There would be big changes if I were to do the list again, as would be the case for most others.

    NO STARK.

Not that it's ever floated my boat personally, but considering its standing amongst collectros...? [Ellipsis just for Coop]

But back to t3h Fab Four - I guess the forum orbits around certain gravitational pulls that the Beatles don't represent.

No classical or fat Viking-broad stylings either*. 'tf! etc.

*I think if you watched Jean-Jacques Beineix's "Diva", you can speak with authority on both of these. Has worked for me in the past. It's got subtitles and everything. Real Dilettantes Know The Deal.

UNNECESSARY ELLIPSES MAKE LITTLE BABY JESUS CRY

    Also, I can't beleive I didn't have a 13th Floor Elevators albnum on there.
