Wow! Finally had a DJ night worth mentioning the success of here in Memphis. Had 300 folks show up and get down to exclusively Memphis soul Saturday night. We started the night off with footage of the Stax/Volt European tour and pumped the sound through the PA, folks were actually screaming and cheering as if they were at the show! It was crazy, especially the girls that screamed when Otis played "Try a little Tenderness"...well, since there were bands and shit playing elsewhere, we thought folks would bail after the film, but no, more showed up and we had a capacity crowd...it was fucking killer...even David Guest's bitch ass showed up...

it was an awesome night, chaseone form Memphix gave us major props for putting this thing together and promoting the hell out of it...they have been trying since 97 to get a night like this and Andrew and I finally pulled it off...
