throwing this out there - anyone know for certain if the sample is just the original Hurdy Gurdy Man? I feel like it's gotta be a live version, or something to that effect.

    I always assumed it was the donovan. I checked it but the opening sound before the beat/bass kicks in does sound different unless it's a different sample from the bass line.

    Recently rediscovered Hurdy Gurdy Man. So ill, and presently ranking higher for me than Get Thy Bearings.

    The intro certainly sounds like this version, slightly faster of course.
