I love this album. I picked up a sealed copy at the last Austin Record Convention.

Blowout Comb is probably my favourite 90s era hip-hop record ever. As the author says, it turned me On to a whole lot of jazz I hadn't heard before.

    double post

  • This record is half the reason I love "Island Letter"

    b/w

Glad to see "Blue Lick" on the mix. Whomever made that beat really did that sample justice

Blowout Combs = Niche overrated in backlash against its overall underratedness.

    b/w

Let's not get carried away here.

I always found digable planets to be slightly tepid and this album was no exception. A few decent beats but overall there was alot better stuff making noise at the time.

    Like it a lot.
First album was a bit soft at the time, on this one they came correct.
