Any reccos for nice spots to camp in northern MI? In East Lansing for a week and have a couple of nights to mission.

Any restaurants between Detroit-East Lansing-The North that people recommend?

Thanks!

spelling isnt my forte, but here goes anything:

Makinak/macinaw Island is really quite beautiful.

Sandybear dunes is a really fun place to hike around barefoot.

If you are in Leelanau Co. close to Traverse City go to the resturant The Bluebird and order the whitefish Bluebird style.

Charlevox (sp?) has a great candy store, with salt water taffy and giant jawbreakers. They used to have a record store however I dont think they are there anymore, could be.

Petosky is home of the worlds larges cherry pie, but be careful there, my great uncle (a travelling sales man) died on the railroad tracks there. none the less, folks there have collections in prestine condition.

    :bizzo:
