    Saw them at the Hideout Block Party last Sept. They were pretty awesome I have to say. I've heard some of there recordings though and think the vocals are a little weak. They are really popular in Chicago (their hometown) and will sell out any show they play here.

    As far as indie hipster rock goes, I think it beats out the meandering melody-inept pitchfork fodder 9 times out of 10.

    that's the dude from Nomo. I like that band, but the few times they tried adding vocals to their material it didn't work. I think the last time they did it was with that girl singing, wikipedia tells me she's Elliot Bergman's sister.

    I don't think I feel either way about this hipster reggae project. Don't know what to make of that video either.

    Her voice doesn't really suit the reggae sound at all, it needs more blue notes and frailty, less monotone too school for school.

    honestly sounds 100% solidly inna 1996 UK triphop stylee to me. Live horns for the stage show. Some BiggaBush outtakes. I'm cool with it, and would not roll my eyes if the blogger/hostess decided to put it on at the BBQ dinner party or whatever. Harmless.

    I like most of the cd. It's definitely mega hipster material, but it's enjoyable pop and I think the baritone sax is a nice touch.
