Is this a new term for 45 collectors?

How many folks here prefer, specialize, or only listen to 45s? And WHY?

Cheers!

It is the best sounding format for a single song.

Thousands of the best funk and soul songs were only released on 45.

They're lighter and take up less space than LPs, which often only have one or two good tracks anyway.

better than a 12 inch single pressed at 45 RPM?

The privacy of a single song on a 7" keeps it free from unauthorized intrusion.

The simplicity of an A side and a B side...like day and night.

I'm pretty sure you could find a t shirt in Japan that says this exact phrase."

Well that is pretty close, but from what I've heard, most turntables produce optimal sound when the tonearm is positioned around the middle of the platter, where the grooves of a 45 are, as opposed to the edge.
Of course that could be total cork-sniffery.

Spinnin 45s is my favourite thing in the world to do.
