Hey everybody,
The winner of the last beatoff, AndreBreton, has chosen Gary Numan-Films for the next beatoff!

*ALL BEATS DUE MAY 22ND, 2013, 11:59 PM PACIFIC TIME
*CAN ONLY USE GARY NUMAN-FILMS!
*BEATS WILL BE ANONYMOUS AND VOTED ON VIA SOULSTRUT POLL TO SEE WHO IS "KING OF THE BEATOFF."
*WINNER WILL CHOOSE THE NEXT SONG TO SAMPLE
*I (OR YOU) WILL POST THEM ON SOUNDCLOUD ASAP. PLEASE USE MP3 OR WAV FILES PREFERABLY. SHOOT FOR 2-4 MINUTES, IF YOUR SONG GOES OVER THAT, IT'S OK.
*I WILL SEND A REMINDER OUT IN THE DAYS BEFORE THE BEAT'S DUE TO REMIND FOOS, LET THEM KNOW ABOUT POSTING, AND WILL SEND PMs TO PARTICIPANTS
*DON'T STAMP OR NAME YOUR TRACK SOMETHING THAT TELLS PEOPLE WHO YOU ARE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

    I'd like to give this a shot. Explain the rules again....any and all samples and sounds must be taken from this track? (i.e. Grey Album steez)

    You can only use stuff from Gary Numan-Films for the track you make.

    I think this is the first one with vocals, which is a nice twist on everything so far. It'll be interesting to see how that works into them.

    sidenote, are you guys allowed to mess with the demo version too?



    obviously not as big sounding or interesting, but it could be useful if within the guidelines

    If someone wants to use the demo version too, I think that's ok, but let's get some contestants on here to give their opinion on the matter.

    My set up is fairly messed up these days, so sampling CDs doesn't really work for me, so I'll just use te OG. I don't know if it really matters. The end results are always do varied that it's not going to make a noticeable difference really.

    This is an uphill climb, but I dig it. I thought the deadline was today until I realized that '5' means next month! Also, it's an appropriate selection now that Ebert has passed.
