Sorry, I will start to trust the state governments in their attempts to protect women as soon as states don't pass laws like giving parental rights to rapists...this is a case of "fuck states rights"..supremacy clause time.
If you mentioned at the beginning that you don't believe in the Constitution and were going to start foaming at the mouth at the mere quote of states' rights (one of the many arguments raised but the only one addressed for some reason) I wouldn't have bothered. Unfortunately there's no perfect system and riding for something when it fits your beliefs and disagreeing when it doesn't is a bit hypocritical. States' rights are a critical part of the Constitution and a fundamental reason why this country was even formed.
And any of you left leaning people who are sitting by quietly and not attacking Obama and his Administration for their support of using drones to kill people are only doing so because you will support Obama and anything he does,.
Yeah. Can't possibly be because they are more effective, less costly, and pose less danger to our soldiers.
Has to be because Obama supporters are automatons.
So file a claim. Oh wait, that wouldn't work because males are also covered under VAWA.
"Article Sec.(3)(b)(8), Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005, Act No. H. R. 3402 of 2005 (in English). Retrieved on February 12, 2013."NONEXCLUSIVITY.???Nothing in this title shall be construed to prohibit male victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking from receiving benefits and services under this title."
Freaking out about a law because of it's name while not knowing it's substance? Priceless. And damn funny, too!
The lack of understanding by some here about what VAWA is and does is breathtaking.

Do you think all existing laws should be enforced?
Yeah. Can't possibly be because they are more effective, less costly, and pose less danger to our soldiers.
Has to be because Obama supporters are automatons.
Makes sense.
