    Oh, man--that's my dude. I know people sweat his records, but my shit is the solo live stuff where it's just him and some beat-up upright at the Maple Leaf or wherever and nothing's shorter than ten minutes. That shit gets kinda intergalactic. A surprisingly gratifying headphone listen, too.

    I'm not prepared to say Booker is better, necessarily, but I will say that listen to him more than Fess. And you know that's serious.

    I'll have to check that documentary when it comes around.

    Yes! This is great news. This man has been under the radar most his life, but what a genius. One of those musicians-musicians i guess, i don't even know if that's a good thing. I hope the producer unearthed more live footage than the early eighties stuff from Switserland. Glad to see he gets the attention he deserves albeit PM and i hope the doc will blow up like Sugarman!
