Do folks in your respective trenches actually use this term? I see it on teh Myface, but I've never actually heard someone use it while internetting in real life. I think this dog is pretty much the only one I could stand using it without fighting the urge to dispense behaviorally corrective slaps.

    there is a tattoo parlour i saw the other day called "Yolo". that's like calling your business "who let the dogs out" or "Y2K", absolutely guaranteed not to age well.

    i have never, not once, GENUINELY used the term "yolo" in real life.

    i HAVE, however, gone out of my way to use the term in completely banal, unimportant and non-inspirational situations.

    "do you have free refills here? yeah? wonderful. i'll have another dr pepper please"

    "joel, do you know how much sugar are in those things"

    "YOLO my dear...... YOLO."

    I used to live in Yolo county. Up there the word was used with some frequency. That was back in '03 tho.

    My sister has a dog called Iolo.

    It's the diminutive of "Iorwerth", and pronounced YOLO.

    there's a little mexican market right by where I used to live in Brooklyn called "Mexico 2000." Best chimichangas in south Williamsburg.

    Or something like that. Mostly, 16yo dont want to communicate with uncool dad who listens to that wired music and won't go to the same fucking restaurant week in week out, and why can't we go to Ed's again because I like the Atomic Fries.

    There was a YOLO discussion in one of my classes the other day (I live in west Texas so cultural trends/cool sayings take time to dwindle down here.) The only thing I took away from the duscussion is the people who say YOLO in real life are not the kind of people I hang out with in real life.

    Do any strutters say "guy" in real life? Like, "Thanks, guy!"

    Nah. I just made a commitment to post all day in .gifs, so i had to see it through. it's been an exhausting exercise. Fortunately, it's almost booze o'clock.
