I'm heading there for a week in early March for the first time and looking for some cool shit to do. I'm not into musicals/shows and not much of a gambler. Any good parties? Record stores? Eats? etc.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Kindly,

Eats? Too many to really list. Of course, there are baller spots in the Hotel/Casinos. Central (not really baller, but a top quality Brasserie) comes to mind, in Ceasar's, I believe.
For the baller in you, L'Atellier de Joel Robuchon in MGM Grand is amazing.

Want local eats? Lotus of Siam (Thai) is incredible, IMO. Honey Salt near Summerlin is also fantastic.

Things to do? I usually like to stay away from the strip. I like Downtown Cocktail Room, Lady Silva, and Insert Coins. All of these are in or near Old Vegas (Fremont).

Thanks for the suggestions guys - much appreciated.

BV, big ask, but do you know many spots to eat that are gliten-free/celiac-friendly?

    Thanks again.

  • P-lax,

I forgive you for all those mean, and hurtfu, tings you've said and will tell you about that Vegas dirty dirty.

No place wants your Ching Ching more than Vegas. Go to waxtraxx and give them a visit. Tell Rich that Peanut Boy from California referred you. If Georgie is there ask Georgie for recommendations on 45's. He is also a taxi driver and may be able to give you a reasonablly price lift.

As for your diet...I dunno can't you just eat cornbread.

No need, BV. I shouldn't be treating you like Google.

I'll do my own research on that. It's good enough to know that there's a decent party night the week I'm headed there.

    Cheers,

    Shrooms would be cool, too.

I put a feeler out. If they get back at me, I'll let you know. I can assure you, it takes minimal effort.

LOL as in mescallne is almost always something else that's just sold as mescaline (unless you did Peyote).

If you can handle the hotel-strip-experience... the rollercoaster at New York New York is awesome.
As is the Crazy Horse Paris burlesque show at the MGM.

Chocolate powder, 1994. Whatever it actually was...I liked it in Vegas, and I liked it even more in Laguna Beach.
