Someone just explained to me about this Elf on the Shelf business.

    My wife bought one last year, but Everett was more interested in the box it came in and basically ignored us when we tried to explain it to him. Maybe this year. We have a big advent calendar that I had as a kid that is more fun and I'm hoping he enjoys. He was pretty into Thanksgiving and Halloween. Although now he refuses to go to sleep in his own bed because he thinks there are monsters everywhere.
