Gonna make special compilations for a christmas gift this year?

Got a crate of records ready to give?

Discussion here will help inspire you during the holiday season.

During the year I put all teh Christmas Lp's in a vodka box under my kitchen table. All the 45's go in a box on the shelf in my bedroom along with some of the classical 45's. I'm planning on making a comp. to be played in my parents kitchen during the holiday. Then I will keep the records on the tape and sell the rest to the store because I know they probably don't have a bunch ready already.

  • Fejmelba,
Thank you, you totally redeemed yourself from the unpleasant reply status in the 'Hi' thread.

My concept is about playing it cool and comfortable with the folks during the holiday. I'll have some med. paced strings for the beginning, maybe mantivani, noodling up to some bing Crosby and nat King Cole. Away in the manger, greensleeves, and then one or two with choir.

No Moog, fuzz guitar, or drums this year for a change.

    my man
mantovani and such aren't really my cup of tea. xmas for me is a time of hard labor.
when i kick back Ton Hasebos is my cut of choice.

  • I don't know Ton Hasebos. Sounds like jazz though.

Do you know Kleines Wunschkonzert 45?
I got these 45's of classical in german.
    Also,
Brendan Hanlon and the Bat Men - Christmas Party
    Mario Lanza - Ave Maria
John Muir elementary school choir - 7" Ep
    ...

@gatortoof, i dont know these german classics. mind you im not german.
maybe if you record your mix and put it up in the mixsection we could check out your xmas collection.

@herm, nice idea for a gift. but 550 pcs is a bit weak sauce in the jigsaw game imo.

Didn't yo mama teach teach you not to mix with strangers?

Really though, I don't have a set up/ripping studio. I post from phone. For some reason I thought you were speaking German, lol, probably because of the response to the German writing on the outside of the label in the, 'Hi.'-thread
I won't think that again. Btw, plz 2 Loc.

    Some Tielman Bros. huh?

  • Some harp would be fine on Teh tape, someone mention harp in a previous thread.

    Here is the question:
It's A Small World -or- Canon in D

    Cheerio

  • Going thru the 45's and as of now:
The Skaters (waltz) - international concert orch.
The littlest angel - bing Crosby
    Roger Williams - winter wonderland
Nat king cole - the Christmas song
John Muir elementary school chorus - I love Christmas
Toni Arden - a merry merry christmas and happy new year
