  • Correct - album cuts on Dare >> singles.

Better album pound for pound tho.

More Reggie flavor, less E Double

Time 4Sum Akshun is a better single but but Dare has a better 1-2-3-4 punch. Bobyahed2dis is fire.

    Sooperman 2 >> Sooperman 1

    Green Island

We Run NY was hard, had a lot of NYC cats feeling tight.

And there is nothing on Dare that remotely fucks w/ Time 4 Sum Aksion

"Time 4 Sum Aksion" should have been the "Mama Said Knock You Out" song for boxers to enter the ring to.

I used it for just that purpose when I DJed an MMA event years ago.

Dr Trevis - Bobyahed2dis - Journey Throo da Darkside - Da Journee > Psycho Ward - Time $ Sum Aksion - Da Funk - Newsbreak - So Ruff
    ??????

Bobyahead2dis is the best song on the album and its really just an Intro track.

That New Edition sample on Sooperman 2 is that shit. Ill give you 2 over 1.

Tonight's The Night "Remix" - NAGL

Cats was feel Green Island when it dropped but its lost its luster for me.

Yeah less Eee helped. And Red's lyrics were better on Dare. He got to really leave the planet.

There is just something uneven about that album on a whole to me. From Basically to Slide and Rock On I lost interest.
Its a black hole in the middle for me. And when I pop the album in im not like "Aww shit I cant wait for Winicumuhround".

Whut has no real drop off point for me. Its stays grounded throughout. Dare is the better weed album.

tyson came out to it at least once. maybe in his comeback against mcneely?

  • I've probably played Whut a lot more than Dare over the years, but if I had to pull one out right now I'd play Dare.
I remember when Dare dropped thinking how he stepped his game up and I thought he already had game.
    Both good albums.

I remember Tyson entering the ring to that for at least one title fight.

Whut? for pretty much the same reasons batmon gave. Dare's great, but I've never found it as satisfying.

I haven't listened to either one in a long time. Shame on me. I just keep reaching for Muddy Waters when I want to bump some Redman.

I was gonna say that, too.

I feel like he really pulled it all together on that one.

And its one of the few hip-hop albums that I can actually tolerate the skits.

I love both, but Dare wins by one Kids in Hall theme song reference.

Wow, I thought for sure you would say Whut.

But like me, you are going with Dare.

  • Don't get me wrong: Whut was huge for me. But Dare took it a step further.

  • Listened to Supaman ii this morning, and that, "YOU GO GIRL!" just kills me. I laugh every time.

Redman lyrics on Dare is crazy.

Did Dare come out during Horrorcore or at the tail end?

And who else beside him and Illegal come out with red plastic cd cases?

    Dare by a country mile...

Bought this LP off the Record Kingdom web site back in the olden days.

    Philly heads know the deal.

Dare feels like a Funkadelic record, Whut is more a Parliament joint.
