Hey Australian peoples,
I need help accessing a DVD from ABC1. A few questions:
Is it possible to buy something from their libraries?
Will Aussie DVDs play ok in my DVD playeur, or are there PAL issues?
Please help, I'll pay for all costs. Replies about DVD playing here appreciated, help via PM VERY appreciated.
Thanks

Either your player can handle PAL or it cannot, hard to say without testing or checking online.
For region coding, you can either use a region-free player ... or burn a copy of the DVD with no region restrictions.
Whats the DVD?
it doesn't work on Sony very well, if at all.
I have a DVD/VCR combo, so I donno "what's crackin." I need a Four Corners episode called "Colombia's Mr Big," region free. It's not on the ABC1 website that I could find.

Do you accept orders from overseas educational and non-theatric institutions and organisations?
We accept orders from other countries, subject to copyright clearance. We supply in PAL Region 4 DVD format only. Overseas customers can make an online enquiry via our online enquiry form regarding availability, price of programs, postage and required format. Pre-payment is required for all international orders. Download an order form from our How to Order page.
If it were more recent you could have grabbed it from the iview site, but I dont like your chances of tracking it down as I dont believe they release 4 corners episodes on DVD (I could be wrong though). Perhaps your best bet is to use the contact page to see if it is possible to speak to the producer about getting a copy, if you could say it was for education or something similar they may be open to it.
