Ram Jam Band

Big 70s hit.
Extended metal workout of a Leadbelly tune.

Breaks! Breaks?
Racial under, over and every-way tones.

Metallic classic I say.
I prefer the 45 version.
One of the dudes later went on to a career in 'interpretive dance'. Orly?

Thoughts please.

The lead singer Myke Scavone is from New Jersey and I saw him recently as the leadsinger for the Dough Boys.

Didn't know he was in Ram Jam until he mentioned it.

It's a fist-pumper. You've got fringe on the sleeves of your jeans jacket. You reek of cigarettes. You're feeling edgy. Your girlfriend is pregnant and you are thinking of blowing the joint. But your motorcycle is half taken apart and you still owe your asshole boss a paycheck. Something's gotta give. But in the meantime you slurp down a sixer of PBR and realize that this beaststress of a song is your new best friend.

    nice one!

..but Kidd fuk'n' rock covered this song, ugh, its a rare classic rock jam that didn't get played enough on the radio, also used on the "Blow" soundtrack before searchin' the internets for a copy.

I have both of Ram Jam's albums and consider them masterpieces of meathead hard rock. Even own the 12-inch dance music remix of said song.

The long version doesn't make me mad, but I'd go with the single edit if I had to choose.

One member, Bill Bartlett, had previously played with the Lemon Pipers.

I don't really know any true Rock fans that like it...it's kinda gross.

    B-b-b-but she's from Birmingham! And it rhymes!!1!

Actually, this raises another point that always puzzles me.
I never see dudes repping Alabama.

Or Arkasas for that matter, or Missouri, or Kansas or Kentucky.
    What gives?

DO YOU EVEN PARTY ABUSE RECREATIONAL INHALANTS?

I hardly think hairspray, nailpolish, spray-on tan and the leather conditioners that keep my pants soft and supple are recreational!
