Hey everyone. Just wondering if people could make some good recommendations for this label. I have a few titles but still don't know what the real heat is. So far almost everything is good, but there must be standouts..

doug carn- revelation
doug carn- adams apple
are the three most solid in my opinion.
most of the titles have some good songs/moments varying from serene to spiritual to occasional funk
the covers are dope!
The one that first got me into the label, so maybe it's a sentimental choice, but the title track is the best vocal version of the Herbie classic (IMHO).
Walter Bishop Jr 'Keeper of my Soul' is superb, probably my favourite on the label, and his other one 'Coral Keys' is great too. 'Keeper of my Soul' is much like Ramsey Lewis of the same period, 'Coral Keys' has some horns and is maybe a bit more later period style bop/souljazz.
The Awakening, as already mentioned, have 2 lp's, both recommended.
I'm also big fan of Doug Carn's Infant Eyes. Moon Child is unfuckwithable.
also forgot to mention before: Chester Thompson 'Powerhouse' and Roland Haynes '2nd Wave'. so yeah, pretty much the whole output...

difficult to pick stand outs/essentials though. it's all consistently good, and at least half of it's very good. just get them all
