female soul lp help anyone?

Trying to remember the name of a female soul artist I can picture the lp but her name is escaping me at the moment, hoping someone might be able to help.
What I remember is this: It had an almost psychedelic looking multicoloured cover mainly pinkish yellow I think, late 60's release, I'm pretty sure the album was called 'the wonderful world of.....' or something along similar lines and what I heard was pretty nice comparable to some betty everett or someone else along those lines from that time also the price tag was in the ??15 - ??25 range I think.
Any ideas?
