straight up - Williams will always be Omar to me. Can't help it. I've seen him in other roles, and that's all I can see.
On the other hand, I saw Jamie Hector (Marlo) in some made for TV film about the Panthers - Night Catches Us** - and he was that role all the way. I didn't think back to Marlo after the initial recognition.
I think Morgan and ODB exude the same energy somewhat. I don't know how good or bad Morgan will be - has ever been cast or directed in anything half-way serious? Maybe that's what he needs.
Who knew what an amazing actor with range Sandler was until he showed up in Punch-Drunk Love? Not me!
** Whole time I'm watching this thing, I'm thinking "Who on SStrut put together the soundtrack?" lol

I do like the gray in Williams' beard.
It was a made-for-TV movie with big screen pretensions. Naturi Naughton and Antonique Smith were the only things worth watching it for.
Danny Brown should play ODB.
Good call.
dude is funny but hardly the actor Williams is - I see Williams pulling off a much more believable ODB. Morgan would just be a ham sandwich.

Tracy could pull it off.
There's that deep ghetto insanity that these bourgie cats couldnt tap into.
BUT Tracy looks nothin like ODB, and when it does get into the serious shit, that where your rollin the dice on Tracy's game..
ODB to me is not Flavor Flav.

Hatt me for this but Shia LeBeef would be perfect for it I think. Dude is a jewish hip hopper and noted Cage fanatic.
