extending a turntable ground wire

What is the best way to extend the ground wire on a turntable? The ground on my living room technics doesn't reach the receiver and I need to extend it to reach. I'd rather not solder if I can avoid it.

Looking for some 'strut input.

I know you'd rather not solder, but you could solder the ground to the RCA rather than extend it.

    Here's a tutorial:

Do this instead. I just had my turntables serviced for having my grounds internal so I won't ever have to deal with that extra step of grounding and that pesky extra wire.
