This may be old news to some, but I was just made aware of a reissue of a 1993 Phil Cohran recording, African Skies.



Recommended for those who like spiritual jazz. I've had this tune on repeat for the past couple of days:

I bought this when it came out and it's a really nice record.

He has remained consistently interesting throughout his career, and has always been more coherent than most others in the 'out jazz' scene, imo.
